Did You Touch the Portal?
Did You Touch the Portal?
Greetings, traveler!
How did you come across this humble blog post?
Did you touch the portal?
In all seriousness, this is a post to “announce” the new front-end experience for SleightError: The Wizard’s Tower.
It’s been about a year since I first put SleightError out into the world, and since I am apparently incapable of leaving anything alone for too long, I figured the place was due for a facelift.
Except, naturally, I couldn’t just change the CSS and call it a day.
So now there’s a tower.
The Wizard’s Tower is a small first-person, explorable front end built directly into the site. Wander around. Look at things. Touch things you probably shouldn’t. See what happens.
And for everyone who arrived here simply looking for a blog, project page, or some other sensible form of website navigation: fear not.
I’ve kept the old, bland site intact too.
Adventure is optional.
There are still a few things I plan to add, tweak, polish, rearrange, break, and then probably fix again. The assets on mobile, in particular, do not currently look quite as good as they do on my development system.
The dual headers will also be removed — I am, quite literally, noticing them as I proofread this post.
I apologize.
I recognize.
I will revitalize.
But for now, the doors are open.
Consider it one more piece of evidence that you never really know what is being built behind my desk.
Until Anon
