Fishing Poler Logo Today I'm publicly releasing Fishing Poler — a cozy little fishing game named by a five-year-old.

Fishing Poler started as a small experiment in building a relaxing fishing game and, as these things tend to go, slowly grew into something a little bigger.

The premise is simple: grab your fishing pole, cast your line, and see what bites. Catch fish, earn coins, upgrade your equipment, and fill out your fishing journal as you discover the different species lurking beneath the water.

There's no grand quest to save the world. No impending doom. Just you, a fishing pole, and some fish that occasionally have other plans.

The demo is officially live and playable in your browser!

What's Next?

I'll be spending a little time making balance adjustments, squashing any immediate bugs, and gathering feedback on the demo before shifting focus toward expanding the game into a full release.

Full Version Roadmap

  • More Fish! — New species to discover, catch, and add to your journal.
  • More Upgrades! — Better equipment and more ways to improve your fishing abilities.
  • New Areas! — More places to explore, each with their own fish and atmosphere.
  • More Discoveries! — Additional secrets and surprises to reward curious anglers.

The roadmap isn't set in stone, and I'm sure a few ideas will find their way into the game along the way. That's usually how these projects work.

For now, I'd love for people to give the demo a try. If you find a bug, have a suggestion, or just want to tell me what you think, I'd love to hear it.

Happy fishing!
